Approving DNS changes

Route critical changes through a reviewer before they go live.

Approval workflows make sure important DNS changes are checked by a second person before they reach your provider.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Set your approval rules

In workspace settings, decide which changes — critical records, deletions, bulk edits — need approval.

  2. 2

    Submit a change request

When a rule applies, the change becomes a request instead of going live straight away.

  3. 3

    Review the request

An approver sees the exact per-record difference and approves or rejects it.

  4. 4

    Apply the approved change

Once approved, the change is executed, snapshotted and recorded — never by the requester alone.

Tip: The person who creates a change request cannot approve their own request.
