Snapshots and rollback

Capture a known-good state and return to it when needed.

ZentraLink snapshots a DNS zone before every change, so you can always see — and restore — a previous state.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Find a zone's snapshots

Open a domain's DNS zone and view the list of snapshots taken over time.

  2. 2

    Compare states

Pick a snapshot to see a clear, per-record difference against the current zone.

  3. 3

    Request a rollback

Choose to roll back; ZentraLink turns it into a reviewed change request, not a blind overwrite.

  4. 4

    Apply the rollback

After review, the zone is restored to the snapshot and the action is logged.

Tip: Automatic snapshots happen before every executed change — you can also take one on demand any time.
